The year is 2026, the planet's population has plummeted to only a few thousand humans and much history of humanity has been lost.

amongst the ruins in a small cottage a piano can be seen in the distance. A character in a dark cloak sees the piano and remembers the music it might have made decades ago. As the small dark character approached the piano it can be seen that the piano has seen many tunes tickled across its keys. with one finger, on the white key that sits back to back with another white key, ahhh 'C'.

but there is a space on the keyboard - something is missing and then the next key doesn't work at all. 

 

 

When COVID-19 hit the world, there were mixed messages about the real impact it could have on human life. As time progressed COVID-19  mutated  into many individual robust strains across the world - making the possibility of life as previously known to never be again. Every time the borders were opened after the deemed safety period the virus turned up again in another mutated form to again have significant impacts on the human population continuously for around 40 years.

Believed to actually be the artist and musician, Jenny Geldart nee Stamatis, it is not known how long Orpheu5 actually lived for. Legend has it that Orpheu5 was actually from the past as well as from the future. A trend of the times to use a persona when being creative to avoid being recognised on the streets, this was a common practice to use a stage name.

 

Orpheu5 was an artist and musician seeking to reintroduce people back to the wonderful world of music. After 2040, when 95% of earths human population were killed by the effects of COVID and it's many mutated forms, there was no one left that knew much about the history of music and how to play instruments.

 

There were often instruments found in derelict dwellings but they no longer functioned or were broken o the point of no return.

 

With a few basic tools, an artistic background and a good knowledge of music, Orpheu5 transformed the old unfunctional instruments found in the rubble, and music was again to be a part of human life.  

 

Basic as the first lutes were it drove Orpheu5 to keepseeking out different ways to build the simple strung instruments. Eventually Orpheu5 became known for being the creator of music, although it was really untrue, it was just that no one else that was alive remembered how to read music or make instruments. The people started listening and moving to the music again and it brought joy to the small communities of people.
